 The Danville Area Sustainable Business program educates and recognizes local businesses working to adopt sustainable practices that strengthen our local economy, community and environment.
A local business must adopt a minimum of 25 recommended practices from the Danville Area Sustainable Business checklist to save energy, water, reduce pollution and waste to be recognized as a Danville Area Sustainable Business.
In March 2011, Jules Thin Crust was named as one of the first 25 businesses in Danville to become a Sustainable Business Leader.
Jules Danville is a participant in the Central Contra Costa County Food Recycling Project (the first program of its kind in the State). The Project converts local food waste into clean and renewable energy. Thus far, thousands of tons of food waste were diverted from the landfill due to our combined efforts.
